September 17, 2026 — Filipino nurse Jeanny Mae Banting Tuominen, a representative of the Filipino Nurses Association in the Nordic Region (FiNAN), has been selected as one of the Brand Ambassadors for Finland of the European Dialysis and Transplant Nurses Association / European Renal Care Association (EDTNA/ERCA).

EDTNA/ERCA recently introduced Tuominen as part of its “Meet Our Volunteers” feature, highlighting her new role as Brand Ambassador Finland and her commitment to advancing high-quality, holistic kidney care.

Tuominen is a Filipino nurse based in Helsinki with several years of professional experience in renal nursing. She has worked as a registered nurse in haemodialysis at Helsinki University Hospital, gaining extensive experience in caring for patients undergoing kidney replacement therapy. More recently, her work has also included peritoneal dialysis and predialysis patients, giving her experience across different stages of the renal-care journey.

Bringing Filipino Nursing Experience to a European Platform

Tuominen's selection adds another international dimension to the growing presence of Filipino nurses in Finland and across the Nordic region.
