Call for Volunteer Professional Developers: Nursing Anti‑Racism Liaison (RAISE the BAR project)

The Filipino Nurses Association Nordic (FiNAN) is looking for passionate and committed Nursing Anti‑Racism Liaisons (Volunteer Role) to join our growing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

This role is ideal for nurses who care deeply about fair, respectful, and inclusive workplaces and who want to help advance anti‑racism efforts within the healthcare sector.

Who can apply?

We welcome applications from:

  • Nursing Assistants
  • Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)
  • Registered Nurses (RN)

Preferably those:

  • Currently working in social and healthcare settings within the Nordic region (Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Greenland, Faroe Islands).
  • Other EU‑based nurses will also be considered.

Role expectations

As a Nursing Anti‑Racism Liaison (Volunteer), you will:

  • Participate in a monthly online meeting (2h/month) with the FiNAN DEI team.
  • Advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a strong emphasis on anti‑racism in nursing and healthcare workplaces.
  • Share and disseminate the anti‑racism materials produced by the RAISE the BAR project within your networks, workplaces, and professional communities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for discussions on inclusive practices and culturally safe nursing environments.

2. Certificate of Recognition. Receive an official Certificate of Recognition as a Nursing Anti‑Racism Liaison from FiNAN.

3. Join the DEI Expert Panel. Selected volunteers will become part of FiNAN’s Panel of Experts in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, contributing to future projects and policy work.

  1. Education. Receive an orientation about DEI principles.

Selection process

All applications will be reviewed by the internal board of the FiNAN Team.
Selected candidates will be notified directly.
